Your repairman. Finishing work, exterior, preparatory

If you are seriously thinking about growing any garden crops in your country house or near a private house, you will need a motor cultivator. This versatile wonder machine can fully automate most of the farming activities on your property, allowing you to plow the soil, plant and dig potatoes, clear snow, and sometimes transport some goods, including crops and fertilizers.

It is no secret that such an indispensable device can be bought at any agricultural hypermarket, but its cost can be prohibitively high. Therefore, more and more often summer residents are trying to make a walk-behind tractor with their own hands. But actually it does not require special efforts and skills, and the amount of costs is reduced to a minimum.

Motoblock, or motor cultivator, is a self-propelled two-wheeled unit that is equipped with an internal combustion engine. The device moves freely forward, and the summer resident walks behind him, holding on to the handles with various nodes and controls. Many models available have multiple forward and reverse gears. . To exploit such an invention was the most productive, it is equipped with additional tools, including a plow, which allows plowing and cultivating the land.

The average weight of a walk-behind tractor reaches 100 kg, and the engine power often exceeds 8 horsepower. Due to such features, such a tool can become indispensable for plowing a garden area.

You should pay attention to the fact that all walk-behind tractors are equipped with a special drive for attachments, which allows you to transfer part of the engine power to a suspended mower. Basically, such a universal mechanism allows you to cope with various agricultural work, including:

  • plowing the land;
  • cultivation;
  • transportation of the crop (in this case, you need to get a small trailer);
  • grass cutting.

With the help of such miniature trucks, residents of our regions transport firewood, fertilizers and crops. In winter, it can be used as a snow removal tool. Even the weakest model seamlessly pulls a load weighing up to 400 kg.

Advantages of the cultivator

Despite the many advantages, the excessive versatility of a walk-behind tractor is not necessary for every summer resident. And the rather impressive weight sometimes complicates the operation of the device when performing daily tasks. Therefore, many owners of summer cottages prefer a simplified version in the form of a cultivator. Such a solution is characterized by affordable cost and low power consumption.

Most cultivators are much smaller than walk-behind tractors. Instead of wheels, which are provided in the classic version, special cutters are installed here, which are able to loosen and grind the earth while moving. They are the main working element of the cultivator. Unfortunately, it is impossible to use additional equipment powered by the power plant of this device. This is due to the lack of an appropriate drive.

Among the possible "equipment" only "passive" tools, such as:

  • plow;
  • potato digger;
  • hillers, etc.

The weight of the cultivator does not exceed 50 kg, while on the market you can find many powerful models weighing up to 20 kg. Due to these characteristics, the car is very easy to hold with your hands, and fuel consumption remains at a minimum. By the way, some products are equipped with an electric motor.

The cost of cultivators differs significantly from the cost of walk-behind tractors. A relatively low-power and inexpensive walk-behind tractor with a capacity of 6 horsepower will cost twice as much as a cultivator with similar performance.

Features of the choice of the unit

If you want to choose the right model of walk-behind tractor, pay attention to a number of important parameters. Among them:

  • cultivated area;
  • type of tasks to be solved;
  • equipment power.

If the size of your plot does not exceed 10 acres, then, naturally, it is better to opt for a device for cultivating the land. If you own a larger territory, it makes sense to think about buying a full-fledged walk-behind tractor.

As for the power indicators, they are chosen taking into account the type of work that will be carried out on the site. For seasonal plowing of the soil in the autumn, it is enough to purchase a unit with an engine capacity of 5.5-6 horsepower. True, if we are talking about the processing of virgin lands and dry soils, then you will need to purchase a heavier model with a reinforced motor. Most likely, it will run on gasoline fuel standard A92 or A95. There are also diesel developments that consume from 2 to 2.5 liters of fuel mixture per hour of hard work.

If you want to purchase a miniature version of the tractor, give preference to products from trusted brands. It is no secret that small European-made equipment can be equipped with “native” power plants from more well-known manufacturers, so such an engine can serve the future owner for a very long time. If you provide the equipment with proper care and maintenance, it will work freely for about 15 years, and the same after a major overhaul in a good service center.

As for Chinese products, they cannot boast of good power performance, reliability and durability. However, in this segment you can find quite a good solution. Just carefully study the reputation of the company, find out the reviews of real buyers on forums and portals for farmers.

Homemade walk-behind tractor according to Arkhipov's instructions

The design of such a walk-behind tractor is made in the form of a self-propelled two-wheeled unit, which is supplied with an engine from a VP-150M scooter. This model of the motor has such a constructive character that, at increased loads, the cylinder head is forced to cool with air.

If you follow Arkhipov's instructions, then at the next stage you will have to make a U-shaped frame welded from a corpse, and then turn the wheel axle on a lathe. For the main and control rods, 3 hinges should be created, which will act as connecting elements between the walk-behind tractor, steering wheel and plow.

In turn, the frame of the unit is equipped with a steel pipe with an axis using a welding machine. This will allow tension the ropes going to the gearbox. The tension itself is provided with the help of a rocking rocker. Gear shifting is carried out using a welded piece of steel pipe.

As for analogues of such a development, there are really a lot of them, however, the original version has some indisputable advantages.

Advantages of the Arkhipov walk-behind tractor:

Assembly step by step guide

You need to start assembling the unit with the arrangement of the drive shaft. Then it is equipped with a housing with bearings, an asterisk is welded and overrunning clutches are fixed, which act as a differential. Then the structure is equipped with wheels and a frame with telescopic traction, a plow and a steering wheel.

The self-made version of the agricultural walk-behind tractor has at its disposal special wheels that are capable of providing maximum grip on the ground.

To connect the frame of the unit with the suspension and the frame of the scooter, two arc-shaped metal pipes should be used. Between them, a container for storing the fuel mixture is installed.

When arranging the power plant, a bracket is used, which is equipped with a steel axle 150 mm long. It is welded in a cantilever manner to the U-shaped frame. The axle itself is equipped with a motor with a suspension, and the assembled product is connected to the frame arcs. Only after this is the installation of the secondary shaft, cable pulling and chain tensioning.

Modernization of a homemade design

Motoblock Arkhipov is very popular among a wide audience of summer residents and gardeners due to its versatility. Very often it is used as a plow or cultivator. To expand the functionality, it is enough to replace the removable parts for the plow with parts with the removed mouldboards for the cultivator. As it moves around the garden, the device will deepen furrows into the ground, laying potato tubers there. To plow up the planting material, it is enough to equip the unit with dumps and re-walk between the planted rows.

In a similar way, the hilling of germinated plants occurs. The agricultural walk-behind tractor is characterized by excellent productivity and ease of use, even for purposes such as harvesting. To change the width of the capture, it is enough to use different blades. In addition, the unit is able to collect missed potatoes and the remaining tops in the presence of rakes or harrows.

The universal design is indispensable not only for work in the field of agriculture. It can also be used for snow removal in winter. Such a faithful assistant will be a good tool when cleaning paths and backyards from leaves or debris. It is enough to equip it with a roller with a round brush and an additional asterisk, which will allow you to clear sidewalks.

Every self-respecting summer resident sooner or later comes to the question of buying or making a motor cultivator. A similar unit a really valuable find for people involved in organic farming. With it, you can process both small gardens and large areas from 30 acres.

Despite their compact size, such a miniature "truck" is not inferior in productivity to some tractors. A powerful engine is able to process the heaviest soil, and ease of use allows you to operate it even in the absence of specific experience. In addition, making such a device is much easier than it might seem at first glance. It is enough to pay attention to the existing instructions and use the recommendations of professionals.

If you are a resident of the countryside or an avid summer resident, then sooner or later you will have the idea to mechanize your work. Today, the market can offer a lot of ready-made solutions for a wide range of jobs. Their only drawback is their high cost.

The most popular agricultural unit is a walk-behind tractor as an assistant in any work from plowing to harvesting. It can be petrol, diesel or electric. Next, we will talk about how to make a walk-behind tractor with your own hands with a minimum investment.

1 Why design a walk-behind tractor with your own hands?

Almost zero cost is the main advantage over purchased equipment. All the necessary materials can be found in your barn or bought from neighbors for a penny. It is assembled from a chainsaw, a scooter, a moped, from a Ural motorcycle.

To create such a device, use any gasoline, diesel or electric. Such a do-it-yourself unit will not yield to factory models in quality and reliability.

1.1 What will be required in the work on the walk-behind tractor?

To work quickly and efficiently, you need to have the necessary tools:

  • grinder and circles for metal;
  • welding machine;
  • drill;
  • cap keys;
  • pliers.

2 What can be upgraded for a walk-behind tractor?

To make a walk-behind tractor at home, you do not need any special investments. Everything you need is easy to find. Consider several options for creating a unit at home.

2.1 Motoblock from ZAZ

Before starting work, it is necessary to develop all the drawings for assembly based on the gearbox from ZAZ. Your assistant will be made on the basis of a single-axle chassis, and is a small-sized tractor.

Homemade motoblocks from the ZAZ checkpoint are an excellent option for how to provide yourself with equipment for agricultural work cheaply, quickly and reliably. This unit will be able to:

  • cultivate;
  • yell;
  • dig;
  • to mill;
  • carry cargo up to 800 kg.

During the construction process, the creator may encounter many nuances, therefore, before starting the assembly, it is necessary to study in detail the structural features of the unit.

2.4 Motoblock from a chainsaw

A homemade walk-behind tractor from a chainsaw is a popular phenomenon in household plots. Basically, the simplicity of such a product captivates anyone who is familiar with drawing. The drawing is necessary to maintain the highest accuracy during installation.

If you have an unnecessary saw on your farm, you can easily convert it to a motor cultivator with your own hands. Most often, such a unit is made from a Ural chainsaw, due to the low cost and high power of the starting equipment. Such a unit will combine important qualities:

  • high power and performance;
  • ease;
  • very compact unit.

For construction, you will need a standard set of tools. Motoblocks and motor cultivators from chainsaws (Ural, etc.) are the most profitable in economic terms.

The process itself usually begins with the creation of a frame. Such a frame is made in the form of a cube with corners of 3.2 × 3.2 cm. The engine is mounted on the cross members of the frame. Under it, you need to carefully install the fuel tank. It is advisable to use brackets for this. Bearings are welded onto the supports.
The center of gravity is located above the wheel support. If you weld pipes to such a device, you will get manual control. Any ignition lock for starting the engine is suitable, for example, from a Zhiguli or a Cossack.

The main advantages of a walk-behind tractor from a chainsaw with your own hands:

  • undemanding to lubricants;
  • not picky about fuel;
  • works autonomously;
  • compact, used for work in hard-to-reach places.

The above are the successful options for assembling a walk-behind tractor from improvised materials. It is also possible to make a walk-behind tractor from a motorcycle with your own hands, but this requires additional skills and equipment in the form of lathes and milling machines. However, we note that a home-made walk-behind tractor from a motorcycle has great power and is able to work with any attachments.

Some tools that greatly facilitate the life of a summer resident do not have to be bought. For example, you can not buy a walk-behind tractor, but make it yourself. Typically, such products are created on the basis of a motorcycle or. Home-made equipment, like a factory motor cultivator, can be used for plowing the land, cultivating, hilling and transporting goods. To understand exactly how to make a homemade walk-behind tractor, you need to learn about how each part of it is created.

The use of walk-behind tractors

Since processing even a small area requires a lot of effort, many land owners are thinking about buying a walk-behind tractor. But the prices for powerful models are high, so home-made walk-behind tractors are often created (as in the photo). Such devices are used for plowing, hilling, mowing, and fertilizing. In addition, walk-behind tractors are used for snow removal and weeding. If you make a trailer, you can carry loads up to 200 kg with a walk-behind tractor.

Light walk-behind tractors are usually equipped with only a cutter and a weeder. Products having an average weight can be used with the use of cutters, a plow, a mower and a hiller. To understand which walk-behind tractor will be more convenient, it is worth considering the photos that show such devices.

Heavy products are characterized by such qualities as reliability, high cross-country ability and are equipped with non-removable wheels. They can be used with the following equipment:

  • plow;
  • harrow;
  • cutter;
  • rake;
  • mower;
  • snowplow;
  • semitrailer.

A homemade plow for a walk-behind tractor and other parts can be made quite simply. When creating such elements, you can use photos of finished products.

The advantages of homemade walk-behind tractors

The main advantage of homemade units is that you do not need to spend a lot of money to create them. To create a homemade walk-behind tractor, it is enough to have the following materials and tools:

  • welding machine;
  • chainsaw or motorcycle engine;
  • steel pipes;
  • wheels from a car or sheet metal for the manufacture of lugs.

In addition, additional parts will be needed to connect the engine to the frame. Having all the above components, you can make a homemade walk-behind tractor with your own hands. In this case, such a device will perform all the functions that factory models perform. If desired, you can choose a powerful engine for the unit so that the product is not inferior to modern walk-behind tractors.

Attachments for a homemade walk-behind tractor can be made independently or purchased ready-made.

Manufacture of the device frame

Before you make a homemade walk-behind tractor, you should prepare all the necessary details in advance and draw up a drawing. The frame is a supporting structure that is necessary to secure the rest of the walk-behind tractor. To create it, follow these steps:

  1. From a metal pipe, it is necessary to bend and connect the structure in the form of two spars, the edges of which are bent up.
  2. After that, the steering wheel from the Izh motorcycle is welded to the back side of the spar.
  3. To make the trailer more reliable, cross members are welded to the side members. They increase the rigidity of the structure. The front cross member will serve as a stop for the transmission chain tensioner.
  4. Near the bends of the rear edge of the spars, a metal plate must be welded. It will serve as a support for the battery.

Creation of the power part of the walk-behind tractor

The power part of the walk-behind tractor, transmission and frame for them are assembled according to several rules:

  1. The engine of the future device must be air-cooled. This is necessary at low speeds. Often, power units from scooters running on gasoline and having a capacity of about 13 horsepower are installed on home-made walk-behind tractors.
  2. The muffler for the engine is usually made independently from a metal pipe, the diameter of which is 70 mm. To do this, it is necessary to cut off about 25 cm of the pipe and fill it with sawdust or shavings. It is worth remembering that the configuration of the exhaust pipe must be such that the gases are vented to the side. If this is not foreseen, the exhaust will interfere with work while driving. The outlet should have a diameter of about 16 mm.
  3. The frame for installing the engine is created from a steel pipe with a diameter of 42 mm. In this case, the design is made in the form of a sled. Along the edges of the created structure, as well as in the center, brackets with holes for bolts are attached.
  4. After that, this frame is welded to the cross member of the sled. It should be positioned in such a way that the central bracket of the ball is directed downwards.

On the created frame, the engine is fixed.

It is worth noting that the engine from a motorcycle or chainsaw is well suited for the manufacture of a walk-behind tractor.

Features of work with homemade walk-behind tractors

The most common unit is the Arkhipov walk-behind tractor. Such products are created using a swivel between the tractor and attachments.

Due to this, less effort is spent during work, and the created furrow remains even when turning. When using such a unit, the plowing depth remains the same on the entire plot and no additional efforts are required for this.

Attachments and additional features

A homemade walk-behind tractor can become an indispensable device, since with it you can perform various tillage work on your site. As attachments for such units are often used:

  • plow;
  • cutter;
  • harrow;
  • rake.

All these tools are mounted on a special bracket that is installed behind the engine. Digging up potatoes occurs with the help of a special digger, which takes the tubers out of the soil without damaging them. If it is necessary to remove mowed grass or tops on the site, a canopy-rake is used.

With the help of additional equipment, the walk-behind tractor can be used not only for tillage, but also for cleaning the site. For example, if you attach a bulldozer knife to this unit, you can effectively remove snow. With the help of a roller with a brush, you can sweep garden paths.

Thus, a do-it-yourself walk-behind tractor (as in the photo) can perform many functions and be used to perform almost all work performed on the site. It follows from this that it is not necessary to purchase the best walk-behind tractor to work on the site, since you can create such a design yourself.

Do-it-yourself trailer for a walk-behind tractor

Homemade walk-behind tractor can be used not only for soil cultivation, but also for the transport of goods. In order not to spend money on a factory design, many create a trailer with their own hands. Homemade is created in several stages:

  1. First you need to make the wheels. It is quite difficult to make them yourself, so it is best to use wheels from a car or a motorized stroller. For the trailer, you need to get only 2 pieces.
  2. After that, you need to make a carrier, it consists of several elements: a swivel body and a drawbar. These elements are connected to each other by welding. The carrier is connected to the frame in such a way that the hinge body is inside the tubular body of the trailer frame. The design is fixed with a bolt near the thrust ring.
  3. The next step is the creation of the steps and the driver's seat. This is done using a board that has a thickness of 20 mm. If you want to make the seat more comfortable. It is worth using a ready-made plastic chair. Such a product is quite cheap and allows you to reduce the time to create a trailer for a walk-behind tractor.
  4. The next step is to create the trailer frame. The manufacture of this part of the structure is a rather complicated process, before which it is worth drawing up a drawing in advance. To create a frame, a pipe having a round or rectangular section can be used. The optimal diameter is about 60 mm. All parts of the frame are welded into a rectangle or square. It is worth noting that a square design is considered more stable. Such a trailer will be stable on the territory with hills and slopes. This is due to the fact that the load on the structure is distributed evenly.
  5. After that, the wheel base is created. It requires a steel rod with a diameter of 30 mm. The length of the rod must be calculated in such a way that the wheels do not come out due to the contours of the body. The created wheel axle is connected to the body of the longitudinal hinge and the side member by welding.
  6. The sides of the trailer and the bottom are knocked together from boards, the thickness of which is 20 mm. The corners of the wooden structure are reinforced with metal products. Boards are fastened with self-tapping screws. To protect the material from pests and decay, it must be covered with oil paint. To make the trailer more convenient, the tailgate is folding.

High-quality tools and modern technology can greatly simplify the work on the plot. In rural areas, the owners actively use walk-behind tractors in cultivating the land and solving a number of related tasks. Modern models from a trusted manufacturer are reliable, multifunctional and ready for significant loads, but they are expensive. You can mechanize your work even without solid financial investments: you can make a walk-behind tractor of decent quality with your own hands from improvised or affordable materials and spare parts. Depending on the list of current work and the required power, a drawing and a basis for future technology are selected. A homemade walk-behind tractor can compete with factory models if you devote enough time to studying the drawings, collecting information and selecting durable structural elements.

The advantages of a homemade walk-behind tractor

Even the most budget walk-behind tractors from trusted brands are quite expensive. The main advantage of artisanal equipment is the minimum price. By assembling a product from its own or cheaply purchased component parts, the owner will be able to get at his disposal a productive and reliable unit. The device can be equipped with a rake and other attachments.

The purpose of the walk-behind tractor is tillage, planting and harvesting. The device allows you to fight weeds if it is equipped with a mower. In winter, it is used for snow removal work, equipped with a special blade. The main advantages of the product:

  • low fuel consumption - a standard tank is enough for at least half a day of work;
  • the possibility of improving equipment for transporting goods;
  • prompt execution of a large list of agricultural and domestic works.

Foreign purchased walk-behind tractors are too expensive, and Chinese units often fail. Therefore, the decision to produce a fairly productive device at home turns out to be a profitable investment of your work and time.

What will be needed at work?

It should start from determining the optimal power of the future product. During the planning phase, careful consideration should be given to the design of suitable factory models for use in your area. This will avoid unforeseen circumstances. It is worthwhile to draw a clear layout of each element in advance.

The work will require: a grinder, a drill, a welding machine, metalwork tools. It is important to take care of the purchase of consumables and protective equipment (welding mask, goggles, gloves) in advance. The assembly starts from the frame. The element of technology can be welded from a steel pipe of the desired diameter. Next, a chain gearbox and chassis are added.

Popular Technique Basics

Homemade walk-behind tractors are a remake of an outdated or unnecessary device. Craftsmen assemble multifunctional devices from a chainsaw or a moped, and with the necessary skills and knowledge, you can also remake a motorcycle. The last option is the most time-consuming and is feasible if there is a milling and turning machine. Therefore, it is worth dwelling in detail on simpler ways to create a walk-behind tractor.

When creating a motor cultivator, you can use compatible spare parts from different devices. Mandatory elements of the system are: engine, transmission, gearbox, aggregation system for equipping equipment with attachments. The control unit must consist of a brake, gear shifting and fuel level control.

Gearbox-based equipment from ZAZ

This option for the production of a small tractor is reliable, fast and affordable. Work should begin after all the drawings have been studied. The finished motor cultivator is able to yell, dig up the ground, carry loads up to 800 kg. In addition to the ZAZ or VAZ gearbox, you will need: a car steering rack, front suspension, final drives and wheels. It is advisable to use ZID-5 as an engine.

Motoblock based on the ZAZ checkpoint

The axle is made of a steel tube with ball bearing housings at the ends for attaching the wheels. By welding the brackets, you can mount the gearbox. Next, the motor is installed. The walk-behind tractor is controlled by handles on a vertical holder.

Converting a moped into a cultivator

This is a budget way to make a walk-behind tractor with your own hands. Spare parts and a bridge from any moped are suitable for work, but the "Ant" is most often used. Assembly begins with welding the frame. For this, 4 mm sheets of metal and pipes with a diameter of 40 mm are suitable. The engine is attached to the finished structure on three supports. The motor must first be sorted out. Directly above the "heart" of the walk-behind tractor, a forced cooling cover is mounted. The chain transmission is constructed using a motor drive. A welded metal tube will act as a steering wheel.

An important nuance: it is necessary to avoid errors in the calculation of the parameters of the lower crankcase on the frame. The gear ratio of the motor-reducer is 4:1, in the gearbox - 2.5:1.

From the moped "Ant"

The finished device will have a weight of about 90 kg and its power is enough to attach a plow and plow the soil with a bayonet depth.

Motoblock from a chainsaw

This approach to business is in demand due to the low weight and small dimensions of the future motor cultivator, as well as the simplicity of work. The finished equipment has high power and its performance will not be in doubt. The financial costs of creating a unit from a chainsaw will be minimal, especially if the domestic model is redone.

From the chainsaw "Friendship"

The frame of the walk-behind tractor should be in the shape of a cube with corners of 32 × 32 mm. The crossbars of the frame will become the basis for the engine, and the place under them can be used to install the fuel tank. Brackets will be the best mount. Bearings should be welded to the supports. It is important that the center of gravity of the product is located strictly above the wheel support. The unit will be controlled by welded pipes.

To start the engine, an ignition lock from a ZAZ or VAZ is suitable. This walk-behind tractor is able to operate on low-quality gasoline and cheap lubricants. Due to its compact size, the equipment will become effective even in hard-to-reach places.

Do not experiment, this leads to a waste of time and money. The precise application of standard solutions and the use of the experience of successful modernization of equipment guarantees a positive outcome of the work.

Creating a home-made walk-behind tractor will take a lot of time, but there is no more affordable way to get efficient equipment for performing various transport and agricultural tasks. A homemade device will help you do a quality job and spend less on maintenance and consumables when compared with factory models.

Many land owners know that tillage with hand tools takes a lot of time and effort. That is why mechanical devices are becoming more and more popular. But since quality devices are quite expensive, many landowners create such mechanisms with their own hands. In the presence of a welding machine and some materials, creating a cultivator is quite simple if the scheme of such a device is created in advance.

How to make a cultivator from existing materials

Before starting work, it is worth understanding the types of mechanisms that are designed for cultivating the land. According to the type of power mechanism installed in the unit, they are divided into products with an electric motor, as well as with an internal combustion engine. The first type of mechanisms should be chosen only if there is power supply on the site.

All designs with an internal combustion engine can be used on any site, as they run on gasoline. It is worth remembering that when using them you need to spend more money, but at the same time they are more effective. It is worth remembering that their maintenance is more complicated.

Also, motor cultivators differ in the methods of tillage. Some products are equipped with powered wheels, while others are equipped with attachments that simultaneously serve as a means of movement and a tool for cultivating the ground. In the first case, two reducers are used. The first is necessary to move the device at a certain speed. The second rotates attachments.

It is worth noting that there are also walk-behind tractors in which the wheels are not driving, but are installed as a support on the ground, thanks to these elements the movement of the unit is simplified. In this case, the movement of the unit occurs due to the rotation of the attachment. It is worth noting that when using mechanisms without driving wheels, you have to spend more effort to keep a home-made cultivator on a given trajectory. That is why many land owners create cultivators with driving wheels, which makes it easier to till the soil.

Cultivator wheels allow you to more effectively adjust the depth of immersion of attachments into the ground. It is worth remembering that products with a single drive axle have several advantages. For example, you can put wheels on the axle, and install a plow behind them. Also, instead of wheels, you can fix volume cutters for loosening. It is worth remembering that a creeper must be installed on the cultivator. Such a device helps with wheel slip, as well as when working on heavy soils.

Components of a motor cultivator

Cultivators consist of the following elements:

Drawings for a homemade cultivator can be taken from technical literature or created based on factory models. If you are looking for ready-made drawings, it is worth remembering that when using them, you will be forced to look for certain components for a future design. Before you make a cultivator from a saw with your own hands, it is worth considering the design of finished products in order to understand exactly how such designs work.

How to make an electric cultivator

Anyone who is at least a little familiar with the principle of operation of such equipment can make an electric cultivator.

To work, you will need the following parts:

  • motor from a meat grinder;
  • metal pipes;
  • corners;
  • wheels with axles;
  • screw;

To create an electric cultivator, you will need tools such as a welding machine, a sledgehammer and a set of keys. Also in the process will be used pliers and a hammer. The creation of a motor cultivator is as follows:

  1. First, 2 corners are screwed to the metal crankcase of the gearbox.
  2. After that, you need to bend the ends of the two tubes to create handles. The pipes must then be welded to the corners.
  3. Then the axles for the wheels are welded to the corners. When choosing wheels, it should be borne in mind that too large products are inconvenient. If small wheels are installed, the cultivator will dig in on soft ground. Therefore, they should be of medium size.
  4. After that, the shaft of the structure is created. With a sledgehammer, it is necessary to break the nozzle from the meat grinder and place the workpiece, which is created from scrap, into the sleeve.
  5. Then you need to weld the grouser screw.
  6. On one of the previously created handles, you need to fix the engine switch. To make it more convenient to use the unit, it is worth placing the controls based on the size of the hand.

It is worth remembering that with a fast movement, the cultivator is able to break the earth into clods. If the created device works slowly, this will lead to the fact that the ground will become soft and the processing will be more accurate. Such electric homemade products allow you to process small areas.
